Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice,
and sing praise. PSALMS 98:4
We believe that honoring and perfecting God-given talent is a must for our students, especially when that talent can be used in ministry now.
Worship is the central focus of EPIC Worship. Time and time again, our student worship band has been reminded that what they do is so much more than a performance or a concert. They are leading their peers into the presence of God. So it is of the utmost importance that they have a heart for worship. If this spirit is not present in them, then all the talent in the world is no good. Every week they are responsible not only to sing or play their absolute best, not just to sing songs about worship, but to be a bold example of a true worshiper (a lead worshipper).
Epic Worship practices on Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 6:15. They lead the other students in worship at EPIC on Sunday nights. They also lead worship on other occasions off-site whenever the opportunity arises.
Each member of EPIC Worship is required to:
- Pick-up/Download, Read, and Sign (along with their parent/parents) the EPIC Worship C.R.U.D. Form.
- Be held accountable to everything they adhere to and sign on the C.R.U.D. Form.
C.R.U.D. = Commitments, Requirements, Understandings, and Dress Code
For a student to become part of EPIC Worship, he or she, along with a parent, must both read and sign the ministry team commitment form (see attached). Signing this commitment is to help ensure that both students and parents understand the commitment being made to this ministry. To obtain a C.R.U.D. form, please see a ministry team leader or download one from the thestudentwebsite.com. Then one of our EPIC Student Ministry staff will set up an audition and interview with Steve Holland, our EPIC Worship leader.
